Server Move And WP 2.6

In the coming days FireBlogz will be down for matience while we go through a server move. The server move will help with speed and stablility. Once we move we will then be upgrading to the newest release of WP. After we upgrade, FB will then add Social Networking features like myspace. (with a new layout coming soon still)

FireBlogz will be undergoing a complete overhaul very soon. We will soon to upgrade to WP 2.5.1, and have many more features that will make your experience here much more enjoyable. FFZ has been taking all the attention, and we feel that we need to step it up and bring FBZ to its full potential.

Today were proud to release FireBlogz stable. It has been a fun BETA and we can finally say that were done! We have added alot since the start of FireBlogz and will keep adding more.

Things added today:

OpenID, Custom Layout, Friends, Admin bar and some more plugins.

Today FireBlogz has added OpenID to all hosted blogs. With this, it means you now have one username for all sites that support OpenID. Your OpenID is your subdomain. If you have any questions please post!

Custom Domains!

FireBlogz now offers custom TLD for any new or previoulsy hosted blog for free! Thats right! We have succesfully ran our tests, and you can now setup your FireBlogz.com wordpress blog with your very own TLD! How does this work? Simple! Just register for your own free blog with a fireblogz.com subdomain. Email us with your subdomains URL and the domain you want added and we will add it. All you need to do is create an A name to our dedicated IP. Instructions will be in the emails sent!

Changes to FireBlogz

Well so far, FireBlogz has been going good. The silly thing is that we have been so pre-occupied with finishing FireForumz that some of you may think we have forgotten about FireBlogz. Well if you did, that’s about to change. Currently were working on a new layout for the site that will be much easier to navigate and will contain everything you need to know about FireBlogz etc. 2008 breathes new and were taking the opportunity for change. Now don’t worry, it’s not for the worst.

Changes in 2008 (not in any order)

*Allow User’s Own Ads
*Custom TLD Support
*More Plugins
